Jan Jenik TTM Success

Mailed:  12/16/2025

Received:  06/25/2026

Days:  191

c/o:  Belleville Senators

Jan has already signed a 1 year, 2 way deal with the LA Kings for next season.  He has played 24 games in the NHL, so he may be able to work his way back into the mix there.  He logged some solid minutes for the B-Sens this past season. I kind of like the way the sigs pop on the 21-22 UD Portraits cards.

Chris Chelios In Person at the Sportcard Expo

Chris Chelios was an amazing defenceman for the Habs back in the 80s.  He won a cup with them in 1986, which is my first time following a team through the entire playoffs to the cup.  The Habs traded him for Denis Savard in 1990 and at the time, I was not really happy about that.  Now Denis was part of the 1993 cup winners as well, so I guess that worked out. He went on to win another 2 cups with the Red Wings as part of his Hall of Fame career.  He is currently 64 years old, but I tell you, he looks in better shape than most 40 year olds.  I like where he put the signature as he knew the figure would be in the way of the centre.  Its an awesome piece to add to my collection to say the least.

I received a personal note from the captain along with the cards.   He is kind of one of those heart and soul type players.  Always willing to do whatever it takes for a win.  He had 3 games with the Capitals a few years ago and has been with the B-Sens for 3 seasons.  I think the O-Sens could use that grit up there.  I am hoping he stays with the organization as I go to lots of games.  Its always nice to add autos of the teams that I follow closely.

Yegor Sharangovich TTM Success

Mailed:  04/01/2026

Received:  04/28/2026

Days:  27

c/o:  Calgary Flames

His point totals in year 1 with the Flames were pretty good with 50.  32 and 29 in the subsequent years is what he has done since.  The Flames in general, do have a hard time scoring.  I liked his play in Jersey but I think he was able to be more free and creative.

Adam Lowry TTM Success

Mailed:  03/20/2026

Received:  04/28/2026

Days:  39

c/o:  Winnipeg Jets

39 days returned from Adam Lowry.  He has had a very solid career but like many Jets players this year, had a down season.  I am pumped to add the Team Canada card to my collection.  I may have to debate getting these signed as a new project.

Cole Perfetti TTM Success

Mailed:  09/24/2025

Received:  04/28/2026

Days:  216

c/o:  Winnipeg Jets

Cole had some injuries this year and down numbers from last season.  32 points in just 68 games played.  The Jets had a very rough season but were coming on strong and had a good push for a playoff spot at the end.  I do not think its worth blowing up the team and rebuilding, but who knows what they will do.

Jett Luchanko TTM Success

Mailed:  01/21/2026

Received:  02/02/2026

Days:  12

c/o:  Brantford Bulldogs

Jett Luchanko was drafted 13th overall by the Flyers in the 2024 draft.  He has 8 NHL games under his belt so far.  He has also played in the last 2 World Jr. Championships for Canada, mostly as a penalty killing specialist.  His lightning speed should help him get to the NHL.  He has 30 points in 27 OHL games this season which has been split with Guelph and now the Brantford Bulldogs.  The autos on both of these cards look sharp.

Joseph Blandisi TTM Success

Mailed:  03/18/2025

Received:  01/16/2026

Days:  304

c/o:  Toronto Marlies

Joseph Blandisi has played 101 NHL games with the Devils, Penguins and Ducks.  He has 31 points.  He has played a bunch in the AHL as well, and I enjoyed watching him play in his short tenure with the Laval Rocket.  He had 4 really good seasons with the Marlies but has left to play in the KHL for this season.  I mailed only 1 card, but the autographed smudged a bit.

Walker Duehr TTM Success

Mailed:  12/03/2025

Received:  12/24/2025

Days:  22

c/o:  Manitoba Moose

Walker Duehr turned pro after finishing out his NCAA tenure in Mankato, MN.  He has been up and down between the AHL and NHL alot over the last 6 seasons, playing in 92 NHL games in Calgary and San Jose.  This season, he is with the Manitoba Moose and has 19 points in 30 games.  He is also a plus 8. The Jets are last in the NHL this year.  Something there has to change so maybe getting some guys up from the AHL will inject some energy into the lineup.  Here are the cards he signed for me.

Glenn Anderson in person at the Sportcard expo.

I have had several opportunities to get Glenn Anderson over the years.  He is not a very good guy in the public settings.  The times were mostly after old timers games and he just wouldn't sign for anyone.  Maybe he only signs for $$, I don't know.  I do hate the stigma of being treated as a dealer when I am getting autographs at events like that.  Ya, I am an older person, but when I was a kid, I idolized these guys.  I collect autographs and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for everyone that I have or get.  The in person memories are priceless in good ways for some, and ridiculous for the ones that were less than approachable.  Anyway, I needed Glenn's auto on the 01-02 Fleer Greats of the Game set that I have been working on. I am down to 4 that I need.  I have been supplementing the set with the certified versions of some of the harder guys to get, so that is how I am getting closer.  This stuff is getting harder and harder to find.  Anyway, here is the auto on the card.

Tyler Myers TTM Success

Mailed:  11/01/2023

Received:  5/21/2025

Days:  567

c/o:  Vancouver Canucks

567 days for this is nearly the longest I have waited for a successful return.  The Canucks are second with a 70% lifetime return rate for me.  They do seem to take a long time, but that is alright with me.  I didn't have any Tyler Myers autographs before this, so these are awesome to add to my collection.  Tyler has had an amazing career and is consistently among the top minutes played guys on his teams.  He is massive at 6 foot 8 so he does not get pushed around to say the least.

Jonathan Huberdeau TTM Success

Mailed :  10/29/2024

Received:  5/16/2025

Days:  199

c/o:  Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames continue to be the best team to mail to in Canada.  Almost a 74% lifetime return rate from them.  The Flames struggled to score last year, but Jonathan put up 28 goals and 62 points which was an uptick from the previous season.  The Flames are hoping he can generate the 115 points he had in his last season with the Panthers.  The potential is definitely there, but the Flames need more guys who can finish as Huberdeau is more of a setup guy.  I had zero autographed cards of his, so getting 1 of my 2 back signed is still cool.

Leevi Merilainen TTM Success

 Mailed:  2/14/2025

Received:  4/28/2025
Days:  73
c/o:  Belleville Senators

Leevi put up some amazing numbers in 12 games with the Ottawa Senators this season.  They had 2 established goalies already so he was covering an injury.  I feel he may have forced their hand for next season though, as it looks like he is ready for the NHL full time.  In 12 games, he went 8-3-1 with 3 shutouts!  In 37 games with Belleille he was 18-12-4 with 4 shutouts.  He would look really good with Ottawa full time next year.

Matthew Coronato TTM Success

Mailed:  2/4/2025
Received:  3/17/2025
Days:  41
c/o:  Calgary Flames

Matthew was a point per game player in the AHL.  He has 33 points in 61 games for the Flames, in his first full season of NHL hockey.  He was a 1st round draft pick in 2021 and chose to leave NCAA to join the pro ranks.  I would say it was a good decision.  He is only 22 so the potential is definitely there.  41 days for a young NHLer is really good.  I love the way the autograph pops on the Star Rookies card too.  I may have to try to get more of those autographed.

Pius Suter TTM Success

Mailed:  11/08/2024
Received:  2/11/2025
Days:  95
c/o:  Vancouver Canucks

95 days is a decent return time for an NHL Player.  Pius has 25 points this season for the Canucks.  They have had some issues in the locker room, but traded JT Miller away to hopefully fix that.  Most players' scoring is way down for the Canucks this year.  Aside from Quinn Hughes, they are all pretty low.  I am sure there will be some changes coming to the Canucks soon.  Pius started with Chicago then went to Detroit and now to Vancouver.  He is a decent 2 way player so those guys are always needed.  The Canucks are my best return rate for an NHL team.  Currently at 68%.  I am working on getting more of these out but returns have been down overall since I started doing this again.

Pius personalized one of the cards, which is cool!

Serge Savard In Person

Serge Savard was at the Sportcard Expo in Toronto and I needed his autograph for my 01-02 Fleer Greats of the Game Set.  I am down to the nitty gritty now on that set and it is getting very difficult to find any that I need.  I used to stay at Serge's hotel in Montreal near the Bell Centre.  I believe he sold the hotel now though.  He was a great defenceman that won 7 Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens.

Frank Mahovlich In Persion

The Sportcard Expo never fails to have a great lineup of autograph guests.  I needed Frank for my 01-02 Fleer Greats of the Game set that I am trying to get fully autographed.  I will note this though, if you get an autograph at the Expo, purchase the fast pass.  Frank and his brother Pete were there with AJs Sports. I did not buy a fast pass as I thought I would be out of there in under an hour, but that was a huge mistake.  They obviously did not cap the amount of fast passes purchased.  I waited in the line for over 2 hours before even moving 1 step.  At any rate, I got Frank only as I had gotten Pete back in 2009 at the NHL All-Star Fanfest in Montreal.  They were both very chatty with the fans which is always amazing to see.  I was glad to add this to my set.

Nikolaj Ehlers TTM Success

 Mailed:  12/19/2023
Received:  6/17/2024
Days:  181
c/o:  Winnipeg Jets

Nikolaj is a solid 2 way player who averages near the 60 points per season range.  He was the only person on the ice with a clear head when Mark Scheifele ran over Jake Evans of the Canadiens when he scored an empty netter.  Nikolaj was standing overtop Evans and protecting him from the other 8 players on the ice as they got into it.  I did not have one of his autographs in my collection, so these are nice to add.

Kyle Clifford TTM Success

Mailed:  12/7/2023
Received:  5/16/2024
Days:  161
c/o:  Toronto Marlies

The Toronto Marlies seem to be a good team for TTM so far.  Kyle has played the last 2 seasons with the Marlies.  He is a hard worker that doesn't shy away from conflict.  He got into it with Imama in the first round of the AHL playoffs this year.  He had 4 points and 25 PIMS in the 3 playoff games before being bounced by Belleville.  Hopefully, he can come back with the Marlies/Leafs for next season and add some grit and defence to the lineup.  I did not have an autograph of his, so its nice to add a new one to my collection.

Brian Sutter In Person

I attended the spring Sport Card and Memorabilia Expo in Toronto on the weekend.  They had all 6 of the Sutter brothers there.  I have various autographs of the other Sutters, but I needed to get my 01-02 Fleer Greats of the Game card of his, signed.  I am still working hard on this set.  He was super nice and in general, just seemed really genuine.
